    We have wood or tile in all but one room in our house, and a broom just wasn't cutting it for us. This little guy does a pretty good job. Battery lasts for as long as we need it to (we typically do 5-10 minute clean-ups at any one time). Light and manuverable. Picks up most of the small stuff, but sometimes has problems with the bigger stuff, like kitty litter or cat food chunks. Emptying is somewhat messy...easy to dump the dirt cup, but I haven't quite figured out how to get the filter cleaned off.

    I bought this vacuum many years ago to use on my hardwood floors and I'm so happy that I ordered 2 more, one for my mother and the other for one of my daughters. I'll recommend this vacuum to anyone that wants to clean hardwood floors in an easy and fast way.

    This is the 3rd Eureka Stick Vacuum I have purchased, all with wonderful service. I prefer it over my big heavy vacuum as it reaches places the big vacuum won't, I can lift it over furniture or under dressers. I can vacuum my 3 BR house in 20 min. Wish batteries were cheaper and more easily available (i.e. Walmart, KMart,etc instead of on line.) But they last about 2 years and cost $20. This unit is great for arthritics because you don't have to plug and unplug it all over the house.

    First, assembly: good luck finding the little thingy that holds the handle to the cylinder. Hint: it's in the teeny bag with the screws.



    I like this thing, but I do think the brush unit, which unfortunately cannot be detached, gets in the way.



    Overall, a very good deal.

    Easy to use. Does great job on carpet and floors. Lightweight. Bought one for me and one for my son. I also have an older version. Highly recommend this item. I think it does a better job that my Hoover upright.
