I had used my brand new vacuum cleaner for about 15 minutes before the belt broke. Since I had company coming in less than an hour, I had to vacuum most of my house using the attachments--highly annoying (and tiring). A replacement belt was easy to find, cheap, and fairly easy to install, but really, shouldn't an appliance just work without having to replace a vital part the first time it's used? The belt on my previous vacuum cleaner lasted for over 10 years.

The vacuum cleaner does pick up well, and unlike other users after very limited experience I don't have complaints about the attachments. It's no noisier than my old vacuum cleaner or most others I've used.

I bought this vacuum to be used exclusively in a capeted "unfinished" portion of our basement. The area has utility carpet installed over a cement floor and is subjected to kids and the dog going in and out of the backyard -- therefore lots of dog hair, etc! This vac is perfect for this area -- it's extremely powerful and effective at keeping the area clean. I highly recommend it as an economical 2nd vacuum.

I've had this vacuum for two years. In those two years we've probably used it 20 times in total. The belt that spins the brush on the bottom of the vacuum has broken three times. This ratio alone should make you weary. This is the most frustrating vacuum I've ever owned. I would not recommend this product.

Works great!! It is a bit "light" on it's rollers and will fall over if you aren't careful. BUT, works very well for the $$$. We have an older Hoover that has lasted about 10 years, and this one certainly sucks rings around that one. Lots of power for the price . . . .look forward to using it for a long time. :)

This is a great little product. I am always amazed at how much stuff it picks up. I got it primarily to clean up our new laminate floors. The dust mop was harder to maneuver and then still had to pick up what it collected. No way am I going to spend the money to continually buy Swiffer refills. This just does an excellent job on the hardwood and is good for quick touchups on the carpet too. Charge lasts plenty long enough.

I got the Ergorapido a couple of months ago after we moved into a bigger house with ALOT of tile floors to clean. I tore my ACL a year ago, and my knee swells up whenever I vacuum or sweep the floors. (good excuse not to clean-ha!) Well, I saw this little guy at Costco for $79, so I thought I'd try it. It has been a total lifesaver--I use it every day on the kitchen/entryway/mudroom/bathroom tile to pick up dog hair, dirt and crumbs. It's very powerful and is great for edge cleaning and tight spaces. I can vacuum all the tile in less than 10 minutes, and my knee isn't swollen! It's very easy to maneuver and is super quiet. Works great on rugs, too. Easy to dump out the dirt canister, and even has a cool little spring loaded thingie for getting the fine dust out of the filter. Excellent purchase! My mom still uses an Electrolux vacuum cleaner that she got in the 1970s. Great brand! Oh, I love the orange color, too. Very cheery for a dreary chore.

This is a really cool vac. I just love the color and the weight of this vac. I have not used the wall mounting kit as I have not had any problems with the stand up mount at this point. The vac worked right out of the box. It also has a built in hand vac that is really easy to access whenever needed. I have not used the accessories yet and don't know that I will as I did not buy it for them. The vac is great at maneuvering around and it is just so easy and lightweight to use. It has 2 speeds and works on my smaller rugs as well as my ceramic and laminate floors. The Rapido is bagless and opens easily to let you empty without getting your hands dirty. I bought mine at BJ's for $79 based on another review and this was the best buy I could have made. I find myself using this daily ever since I brought it home. My only problem is deciding exactly where I want to make its permanent home. I've moved it a few times to the point that my hubby asked how many of these did I buy. I honestly have not found anything that I don't like about this vac. I highly recommend it.

I was careful to charge it for the full 24 hours while resisting the temptation to go vacuum stuff. It had at least 20 minuts of pretty decent power (it vacuumed up little bits of plastic (fish gravel sized), and a whole lots of dust.

The swivel head made is really easy to maneuver around, and it was kind of fun... and the goal is to make medial tasks kind of fun, yes?

The only thing I'd like to see is a sortof allergy filer on the the exhaust to help keep some of the tiny dust out of the air.

This is a great little vacuum with a rotating head and removable hand vac. It is light, picks up almost everything and needs just ordinary maintenance.

Yes, the battery life is somewhat short as our previous one lasted just over a year. So weigh that into your consideration.

The price is on the edge of expensive but, truthfully, it is simple and works well. Recommended.

Bought this vacuum after perusing a ton of other stick vacuums and reviews. I am HIGHLY pleased with the Eureka. I purchased this mainly to use as a 'quick fix' between cleaning with my large vacuum. Very pleased with the power and ease this little guy has!! Cat food off of tile, cat litter out of carpet, dirt from the 'boyz' not wiping their feet before coming in from outside, stairs. I even took it outside to help vac off the patio furniture. It is extremely portable and works great! The only slight issue is the handle feels a little wobbly when you are using it, but no worries it is def. strong enough to do the jobs you need it to do. The handle moves a bit simply because it's removable to turn the Eureka into a dust buster. I basically vacuum something up everyday now with no hassle at all. Highly recommend!!

It is wonderful! For someone who has several indoor cats, I swear by this hand vac.

PROS: It picks up pet hair better than any vacuum I know.

It is great for fluffing up heavy traffic areas on your carpet and stairs

My carpet looks like I use my full size vacuum, it picks up everything

Great on tile floors in the kitchen and bath, picks up crumbs and hair beautifully

Its light weight.

The handle comes off for use on furniture and it helps on the stairs

I have one minor con but I don't dare give it less than five stars. I love it that much.

CONS: Wish the battery life was longer, but that's ok because it comes with two strong rechargable chargers that can be charged at the same time. I like using it in my entire home, not just for spot clean up. It just makes the carpet look so fresh

This vacuum does a much better job with cat hair and dirt than any other lite portable we've tried, B&D or Shark. It will do the majority of the house 3 times on a single charge. I recommend not charging the vacuum or spare battery unless they are low, (not dead, just low), as every nicad battery gets cooked by the chargers soon after the warranty period, whether it's 90 days or 1 year.

Engineers continue to specify charging rates far in excess of the capability of the batteries to shed heat. This applies to all nicads and most nimh battery chargers on cheap portable appliances, therefore the batteries, over time, start a chemical chain reaction while being charged which kills them. Battery chargers which are electrically correct, cost about 20 to 40 dollars each, so you can see why they are only included in professional appliances and tools.

To beat this problem and have nicads or nimh batteries last for a few years instead of a few months, you must charge them only when they need it and do not leave them in the charger more than they need to recover. Also the fewer cells used in these batteries, the less chance of an inferior one which will ruin the entire battery pack so use lower voltage battery packs.

The batteries should be used until they are mostly discharged, i.e., when the motor slows down a little bit. Then they should be charged for 16 and no more than 24 hours, and taken off the charger or turn the charger off.

BTW, there is a simple solution to this dilemma, manufacturers should include Chinese made chargers with all portable appliances which charge the batteries with an intelligent rate, constant current, constant voltage, heat and voltage cutoff and .01C trickle rate. One day someone will do this and we should only buy that brand until the rest of them get with the program and we stop throwing away batteries so often. (Oops, they make higher profits selling replacement batteries so there goes the incentive)

I've owned this for about a year. Took good care of it, followed instructions, and didn't use it very frequently - no more than once every two weeks tops. Now the battery no longer holds any kind of charge - when it's turned on it emits a wimpery, sad little sound and has absolutely no suction. I did not purchase a cheapo model, I spent $40 on this and I expected it to last a lot longer and perform a lot better. I'd steer clear of this model.

I bought this vacuum with a singular function in mind. I wanted to clean up my son's cheerio mess without a broom. since dry cheerios are light, anything should pick them up. This vacuum performed perfect for the first day. After that, it started making a slight noise when in use. Then picking it up and using it caused a loud noise. Then finally, I figured out the problem. The vacuum rotor popped off the motor spindle. It fell apart after less than 2 days. While it may work great for the first day, I can't recommend a product which only lasts two days of light use. Very poor quality control.

This product is horrible! I own mine for approximately 6 months or so. As others have mentioned, there is a nasty smell emitted when you use it and there is NO storage for the accessories.

MY problem is that the battery no longer charges. I followed directions not to leave it on the charger all the time in order to prolong battery life. I would use it a few times before recharging. Eventually, I had to recharge it after each use. NOW, the battery does not charge at all!

I have tried many times to contact customer service via email. Never received a response! I have tried to contact customer service via telephone. A receptionist answers and says she is transferring to customer service, but no one picks up the phone.

I would personally recommend staying AWAY from this product!

I've been very disappointed in this unit. It has a cheap feel about it,and I don't think it's very well balanced, weight wise. Most important, the suction is not very good for a unit of this size. I've also not been happy with the lack of storage for the included tools. You'd be much better off with a B&D Dust Buster - little more expensive, but worth it.
